Tiger stadium is sometimes best viewed from a comfy couch with some old friends, cajun sausage and a cold beer. So it was on a warm Saturday evening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana a group of good friends, numerous beers and two living rooms. A nine hour car ride from some-wheres-ville Florida to the state capital of Louisiana was treated with a couple of cold beers at 3 a.m. before a well deserved night of sleep. Friday was treated as a day of preparation and a night of potential. And by the way who ever thought that great sushi is found in southern Louisiana? Well THG knows such things, cuz he has some roots in Baton Rouge and the sushi there is “broke da mouth” and “make your tongue slap out ya brain” so a yeah it is some pretty good sushi!
Once the night arrived it was time to visit some old haunting grounds and put down some cold Abitas and feverishly consume some boudin balls! Dude so good! The Angry Wolf saw some old friends, which made him less angry, there was a rumor that he even had a good time….which is nice. It was a good way to have a time, in the ole Red Schtick, Louisiana that is…….

That's right Patrick LSU is GOOD
So game day arrives early at 7 a.m. so I hit the snooze button till 9. It was a good choice on my part as the tailgate was not set up when we arrived at the Parade Grounds at LSU. With a little elbow grease, a stiff Bloody Mary and the thought of grilled porkloin! Oh was THG a little disappointed with the grill set up, as I convinced a coonass from Mamou to let me use his grill. My thought was that if enough beers were in my belly no one could resist my persuasion, and it worked. I mean how could it not! The porkloin came out good, the bacon came out great, the spicy burgers were a nice touch and the Auburn fans were assholes (what else is new?)!
So how did Saturday night at Tiger Stadium turn out? Well the Bayou Bangles passed, ran and bitch-slapped the Auburn poor beagles into submission by the end of the 1st quarter! And…..Auburn was held without a touchdown until the final seconds of the game. Oh the taste of cold whiskey shots and victory go well together, especially when mixed with a dozen beers, Manda sausage and garlic bread. Man, what a weekend….
You done, Eat!
