Stage Map Tour de France 2009
Well if you didn’t know the Tour de France is rolling in around the corner and starting on July 4th. You may ask what does this have to do with the Hungry Geographer? Well, THG is going to France!!! No not really, but in my mind I’m already gone…..
In honor of the Tour de France I will be highlighting the cuisine and geography of the stage regions/towns of France. Also I have enlisted the help of the drunken geographer for insights into the wines and drinking habits in the stage regions/towns. I hope that many of you will find this month long exercise to be enjoyable and as always let me know what you think. And don’t be afraid to visit the other posts on The Hungry Geographer site as there will be insightful, entertaining and educational posts along the way. Oh yeah, there may be a few recipes along the way!

I have stepped up my consumption of French wine to 2-3 glasses per meal (including brekfast) in order to be ready for this. It’s gonna be a fun month!
